Traffic Exchanges have been around since the dawn of the internet. In fact most of them still look like they haven’t been updated since then either!!
Throughout our 10 years of running an online business, we have tried a few of them with little or no results.
Wikipedia describes traffic exchanges like this:
“A traffic exchange website receives website submissions from webmasters that join traffic exchange networks. The person who submitted the website then has to browse other member sites on the exchange program to earn credits, which enable their sites to be viewed by other members through the surf system. This increases the number of visitors to all the sites involved.”
Some of the ones we have tried are as follows:
to name but a few!
So, when we were recommended Traffic Ad Bar by a colleague at Wealthy Affiliate, we were skeptical to say the least!
When you arrive at the Home Page you are met with a lot of info on one page. At the bottom of the page is this statement:
The fact that they say they are more than just a traffic exchange was of interest to me. They state that they show your ad to many other places as well on their own network. This was a bonus.
Now, the biggest plus point by far for me above the traffic exchanges I have tried previously is this. You normally sign up with an email and then regret your email choice when you are bombarded with hundreds of emails every day! These are the only way for you to get your clicks up. So, annoying!
However, with Traffic Ad Bar you get one email a day, at a time that suits you. In this email is a link to start your ‘surfing’ to enable you to gather hits for your own websites.
This is an excellent way of doing it, as it keeps your email inbox clean and also means you also only have to use the one tab on your PC to do all the work needed. You have to click on 25 website links per day to activate hits to your site. This is easy enough as each click is only 10 seconds long. After the 25 links have been clicked you get a bonus amount of points, which you can keep or exchange for hits to your websites.
For every 25 websites surfed you get this option.
So, potentially you can get a lot of hits to your offer each day.
Imagine taking 30 minutes per day to dedicate to this.
That equates to 10 seconds per surf x 25 sites = 25 hits
30 minutes divided by 5 minutes (approx) to do the 25 surfs = 6
6 x 25 hits = 125 minimum hits to your offer/website per day.
Now, you also get extra hits to your websites depending on how many points you accumulate. Each surf gives you points and as your total grows, your website gets bumped up to the next level. There are 17 levels in total.
The higher the level, the more hits you can get per day.
Upgrading guarantees you an amount of visitors to your offers irrespective of whether you surf or not.
The lowest upgrade is $12.99 per month for a guaranteed 1000 monthly visitors going up to $49 per month for a guaranteed 4000 monthly visitors.
Now, I don’t know about you, but 12 cents per visitor to your offer in the make money online niche is pretty awesome. Go to Facebook Ads and you will pay close to $1 a visitor!
And that is just for the minimum amount of visitors. If you do what I have outlined above for 30 minutes a day, you will rise up the levels and get a ton more visitors a day on top of that.
Now, on top of this you can also refer others to Traffic Ad Bar and when they upgrade you get paid.
To help you get referrals Traffic Ad Bar give you a helping hand. You get a collection of banner ads, text ads, email swipes and also an ad rotator to put on your website. The only thing that is missing is social media banner ads, but the banner ads are ok to use.
In this online world of traffic exchanges being 2 a penny, is Traffic Ad Bar worth it?
Well, in terms of getting people who are in the right place (i.e interested in making money online) to see your offers, yes it is.
With the small cost of just $12 a month for a minimum of 1000 visitors, that is well worth a trial in anyone’s book.
In terms of whether those visitors turn into a referral or a subscriber or a sale, it is too early to say. I will be updating this post as I go along.
But it is fair to say that for ease of use and potential Traffic Ad Bar gets a high mark from me.
